Going back to move forward
DTS ended on March 1st. I left Next Wave March 5. Spent a week in Morocco on my way home. Morocco to Madrid: spent 2 nights at the YWAM base there. Madrid Airport: one night sleeping on an airport conveyor belt (not while it was moving). Fly Madrid to Paris = 1+ hours. Fly Paris to San Francisco = 11 hours. Spend night in chairs with armrests and loud announcements. Fly San Francisco to...
When I went through airport security the guy who stamped me said, “Have a...
The Beginning of an end
Well we had our DTS graduation two nights ago. I think that it was a good ending to a good school. It was encouraging and fun to remember memories together. That was the one final push of this school for me. Running around helping get things ready for the evening. And now I am quite happy to sit back, take a deep breath and stop.
Most of the students and staff are flying out this evening....

We´re here
So we are back and so is the other outreach team (the team that went to Italy). I am glad to be back. Out reach was long and probably one of the toughest things I´ve ever done. I often thought that the end would never come. But here it is.
I find it really difficult to be back though. I have gone into a reflective state. So much has happened over the past two years of living abroad. It´s...
Going back
Well, it´s been a long few months of outreach—that´s for sure. We arrived on the ship a day ago and boy am I glad that traveling is over. We finished out outreach in the port city of Constanta, Romania almost a week ago. Then as a team we went into central Romania (Translvania, where Dracula is supposed to be from) to wrap things up, spend some time together and debreif (talk about) our...

Hello from Romania
Hey everyone!
We have been in Romania for a week now. It was quite the traveling experience getting here. Normally we could take a bus north for 4 hours to get to the city we are in now, Constanta. BUT because of the bad, snowy weather the mountian passes were closed and we needed to take the round-about way by train. It took us exactly 23 hours and 50 minutes!!!! Phew! So we were very...
Burgas...
Phew, its been suuuuuch a long time since writing here. I am afrade that it is going to be a while before I can write a decent entree here.
I have been very busy here, just like the rest of the team. We have finished our time in the center of the country. It went very well and we met many lovely people. It seams that every place that we stay I end up being adopted into another family.
Now...

Outreach Blog →
Well, lecture week 12 has been and gone and we are now in our transition week before we leave for outreach. This week we have been doing a lot of preparing by gathering things we will need to bring, learning dramas, and so one. I am very glad for lectures to be over now. I absolutely loved them, but I think that both my brain and my heart are full and they now need to use some of the knowledge...

Another lecture week is over and it feels like it. I am exhosted! As the time is passing it is nice to finally be able to feel it in the seasons. It actually does feel like fall and sometimes even winter here! The leaves are orange and brown and on the ground crunching benieth my feet already. I wake up to clouds sitting on the sea and orange sunrises. The fishermen are winterizing their...
Whales and Sails
So much has happened in the past weeks. I hardly know where to begin. I realize that I often say that, but it’s true every time. So much happens on Next Wave and this is such an intensive environment that people say that one year hear is equivalent to five years elsewhere. So my reason for saying that a lot has happened here is due to the fact that if I haven’t written in a month, about as...

Week # 4
We have just finished week four of lectures. This past week a guy called David came to speak to us. He was Lehman’s leader for a few years when he was living at a YWAM base in Argentina. It was fun to have a Latin American come to teach us. He taught us about Pride. Phew. He had 48 points of pride that he went over with us, and man…I’m sure the list would go on and on if anyone had time to...

All I need
…. I’m not really sure where to begin. I guess I can begin with the school and how it is going. It’s been a very intensive school so far. I am so proud of all of the students for being very transparent with their struggles and their pasts. It takes a lot of guts to stand in the midst of your pears and share some of the deepest, darkest parts of you with them. But, just as the character of God...
It's been a long time gone
Blog entry. August
Existed is the only word that comes to mind right now. After a hectic month of travel instead of planning, it left only ten days to prepare for DTS. When the French team left Next Wave turned into a place of chaos while we rushed around like chickens with our heads cut off trying to find this or that, gathering mission information, trying to contact students and having a...

Italy
It’s been a busy month. At the beginning of august we arrived in Catania, Italy. While we were there we picked up a team of French kids. They were doing a program called King’s Kids. King’s Kids is a program kind of in-between a Daily Vacation Bible School and a YWAM Discipleship Training School and summer camp. The team came with a lot of leaders, many of whom where their parents. And even...
